Will Boeing choose Ancor to provide the swithces?
WASHINGTON, Nov 10 (Reuters) - Boeing Defense and Space Group of Seattle, a division of Boeing Co , has been awarded a $452.4 million U.S. defense contract to develop improvements in E-3 AWACS early-warning radar aircraft, the Air Force said.
"These improvements, which will expand the performance and flexibility of the aircraft, involve the radar, communication, avionics, computer and navigation systems," the Air Force said.
It said there was only one firm proposal solicited for the contract and one proposal received.
