To some extent that is correct but one can not interpret things to exist that do not exist. The gospels are not "living documents." You can not "interpret" that Nazi Germany was correct as some did within the last 100 years. You can not interpret that Christianity and Communism are really the same thing as some have done within the last 100 years.

The subjective concept of "social justice" does not stand by itself - it is all about how it is achieved. With that said, I will repeat that Christianity and other religions are not about social justice, they are about personal redemption. The achievement of some personal redemption might contribute to social justice but forcing a person to do anything against their will (think government role) has nothing to do with personal redemption.
