<Soup's theory regarding institution shareholders transfering money from Apple shares to option makes a lot of sense. It keeps the share price down allowing options to be purchased at a good price.>

Eric, thanks for your reply. I am clueless when it comes to the power of options -leverage, hedging..short interest, how to scan a listing and get a pretty good idea of what is going on...etc.
It would probably be wise to learn this area of the market, even if I don't plan on doing them.
I would greatly appreciate a website address which explains more that the general puts and calls definitions. Do you know of one -or a good book?

Perhaps we have an options chat going on right here on SI that I'm not aware of.

The posts and support on this Apple thread are great. I'm keeping my AAPL shares, got in at 17....maybe my love for the product is stupid reasoning, but I'm a believer :-)
Again, thanks -Bell
