I'm not opposed to the idea since it will have to financed out of some taxation source. I just don't see the Reps ever favoring some form of increased taxation however necessary.

As for a preferred form of taxation, I would much prefer a well managed progressive taxation system rather than sales taxes. The Reps do love to push the taxation burden off on the not-so-wealthy.
