do not know about asbestos in china - have not seen any in old buildings, and new ones do not use them. no clue where they are used.

otoh, whoever uses them or produces them are obviously doing so against some rules however imperfectly enforced.

as and when people get bothered, enforcement would doubtlessly tighten.

how is asb different from junkfood?

as mentioned earlier, small coals mines are by and by being aggregated into the large ones, ones without systemic safety issues

rare earth? quotas and mining reforms and mining m&a are happening, and so all around the world feels the pinch, quickly complaining, yelping, screaming, but generally not being helpful. so, no help, no rare earth. as in let them make led screens by either paying proper price for ingredients, or do without, or go elsewhere. and but ohhh the yelping continues.

iow, issues are know, problems are half addressed. system works, problem worked on.
