how is asb different from junkfood? Such an amazing display of deliberate ignorance on your part.. Or is it merely arrogance spawned from sheer stupidity? A person can stop eating junkfood, lose weight, and restore their health. But once you're exposed to Asbestos and those fibers lodge in the lung tissue, you're screwed.. It will take decades for those fibers to perforate the lung wall and irritate the Pleural lining. That's why it's so insidious. It's terminal.. There's no cure, only Chemo or radical surgery that MAY prolong the victim's life. Asbestos has been cited as the leading, if not the only, cause for Pleural cancer (Mesothelioma). And China is seeing an increase in Mesothelioma cases, despite the fact that it's only been using Asbestos in quantities since the 1970's, when the rest of the world was phasing it out. It's predicted there could be as many as 15,000 cases per year. And it's quite expensive to provide pallative treatment (there being no cure). publicintegrity.org ibasecretariat.org Problems are obviously NOT being "worked on" if the evidence clearly demonstrates that China is increasing it's consumption of Asbestos. Granted it's chrysotile (serpentine) asbestos, which some have argued (not convincingly, IMO) is not the type that causes Mesothelioma. But it's CLEARLY evidenced as a contributing factor in Asbesteosis victims. Believe me.. I spent months watching my father undergoe Chemo, then a radical Extra-Pleural Pneumonectomy.. Then 10 weeks in ICU fighting for his very life as he tried to recover until the day I had to authorize "pulling the plug". This is what lies in store for hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of Chinese in coming years. All because you claim (wrongly) that it's being "worked on". Hawk
