I think the prospects for a stock diminish as the number of SI threads increases. Now that the true technology companies are going after Dell's market space I don't like the long-term prospects for Dell one bit. This company knows ZERO about software, operating systems, or computer hardware for that matter. The suggestion by Dell that Apple pull the plug is like a manufacturer of Donald Duck and Superman phones giving advice to Lucent on how to compete with Cisco Systems in the router business. Granted, Dell is a high-tech company, there are cables to connect, CD-ROMs to bolt in and, ah, did I mention cables to connect? Frankly, Donald Duck phones are only slightly less complex than what Dell does for a living.
