Almost no conservatives like high unemployment.

As for health care reform what we got in no way resembles

As for minimum wages, they tend to either be so low that they don't matter for many (and mostly go to people who have other sources of income or support), or to increase unemployment. A $10/hour minimum wage is essentially a law that says to someone who's labor is worth $7/hour, "you can't work".

As for illegal immigration, its not a big issue for me, but most conservatives have a big problem with it, many are against it with a passion.

As for education, historically many conservatives have supported spending a lot on education, while most of the rest have gone along, if reluctantly, with all the massive spending increases. But decades after decade, generation after generation, we spend a lot more (in real per student terms) without seeing the benefit of all the extra spending. Now some would like to have the system be more competitive and less socialist. They want this to improve education. Makes sense to me.

education. It reduces the number of workers who'll work for peanuts.

It does so by making the workers more productive and able to demand a large wage in the market. Productive employees are a useful asset. Even from an entirely self-serving business perspective (and certainly from the perspective of the general American conservative tradition), there isn't much reason to be against education. There is however all sorts of reasons to be against parts of our current educational system.
