I am talking about speeding laws, private property rights, city councils decisions, planning departments, not being able to kill people-lol. Message 27029347 ?? I know you put a lol on the end of the initial statement, but you also put it on the end of your more recent post as well so the statements are equivalent. Also "lol" does not equal "ignore my entire statement that proceeds lol", it just an expression that your laughing. You can have speeding laws and city councils, even to an extent planning departments, without giving up all that much in the way of freedom. Private property rights generally actually increase freedom. In any case you can have all of that while having much smaller government and more freedom than we currently have in the US. Also you can have all of that without having socialism. So I don't understand how "...but you also need a fully functioning society. And that requires people giving up some of their freedoms..." supports the concept of "libertarian socialism".
