LOL. I'm beginning to think that Obama is a closet Republican myself. I mean, here are the facts: * he just renewed the Bush tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans * we still have no energy policy that weans us away from oil and coal usage over the long run, in favor of renewable energy and nuclear power * we're still spending $100B per month in wars in the Middle East * Obama has tightened security in the US and has continued to roll back our freedoms in the name of security just as Bush Jr did * Obama continues to spend money like a drunken sailor and fully backs Bernanke's irresponsibility, just as his predecessor did * Obama still has failed to direct Holder to prosecute the banksters and their executives for the massive fraud and criminal ponzi schemes that have lead this country's economy to the brink of disaster * Obama just accelerated the day that social security collapses by reducing payroll taxes by 2% (actually, I like this one; the sooner we get rid of social security, the better in my opinion); the GOP loves this one too, because the GOP has never liked social security The only thing he's done that I like, besides hastening the demise of social security, is put tens of billions of dollars in stimulus money towards investing in the electrification of the automobile. That will result in long term benefits for this country, if the electric car industry can take off in this country and American car companies can capitalize on some of its own intellectual property in that arena. Other than those two things, Obama looks one hell of a lot like Bush Junior and the GOP to me. I'm not quite sure why the GOP hates him so much. For all intents and purposes, the GOP have the Presidency right now. They have their cake and they are eating it too!
