Is Kodak a "world leader" in photography?

Kodak still is the leader in traditional photography (films
mostly). But it is facing tough competition from Fuji.
It has anounced to lay off over 10,000 workers (more than
10%).

The announcement at the IOM meeting will
be mostly related to digital tech in photography, imaging
etc where Kodak is dedicating a lot of resources and efforts
but it is not clear Kodak is the leader in this area.
HP, Sony etc and even INTC are deeply into developing new
products for this area.

For IOM, it is a big plus they get into this field.
In the next few years, transition to digital tech will
intensify in consumer photography and photography in
X-ray, in industry etc. It is a growing market indeed.
