Why isn't the Sharp news being reflected in the price? Here are some thoughts and guesses...
3D audio is an emerging technology, and investors seem to be trying to guess which company will come out on top. Look at the recent news for QSNDF, SPAZ, SRSL, and AURL. Each claims proprietary technology with patents and such, and each is lining up a bunch of name manufacturers to use their stuff.
Now if I were an investor with scads of money, I'd invest in all of them. Otherwise, I've got to choose between them. It seems that, for the last month or so, folks have been choosing SPAZ & SRSL. Being a Canadian company does create a small disadvantage here - I can't just jump to Edgar and get their past SEC filings, for example. Further, when I read the press releases, I don't think that QSNDF is doing a bad job, but their stuff doesn't sound as upbeat as the others. Some PR improvement couldn't hurt. AURL is a BB stock, which is avoided by many investors (including myself).
That being said, these companies are not widely followed and, unlike the stocks with 27 analysts, they often do not reflect news for a while after it is released. I agree that this is big enough news that it should get reflected pretty quickly, but who knows in the microcap world? I've only been investing in microcaps for six months, but I've seen several occasions where it seems to take multiple pieces of good news to produce movement. Then it jumps like a rocket. Maybe that will happen here as well. Over the long term, it will get in there. I don't believe it is factored in at this time.
