Is it just me, or is this the most important sentence in this release: Additionally, the Company noted that "Media Manager," a MediaX stand-alone network or web-based asset management program for work groups, has been completed.
Looks like timelines have been moved back a bit, but we're now closer to retail sales being a reality on PC-Guru and Media Manager than we thought we were on the last press release. I'm still concerned about PC-Guru, though. Releasing it a week before Christmas means missing an awful lot of potential sales. Computers are popular Christmas presents, and most of the people receiving those new machines are the ones who make up our target audience.
Releasing it this late doesn't mean *no* sales, but it sure would turn a potential home-run into nothing more than a single or double.
Still, we could get surprised. Software *does* get bought after Christmas. A *lot* of it. I just hope they're burning the midnight oil trying to get this one out the door. Actually, I thought it was darned close to production a while back, since they were supposedly shipping demos, so am confused about the delay. Not as bad of a delay as software often sees, but a delay nonetheless.
The $1.1 million net loss doesn't concern me a bit. It's a development stage company (on the brink of moving past that stage), so I expect losses, and expect them to be higher at this point.
I'm quite surprised by the $244k in revenue, though. Surprisingly good news, IMO. I had no idea they would be making this much right now. Anyone know how this company gets revenue at this point?
The Company also produces and publishes new media entertainment content for entertainment companies including MCA Entertainment, EMI/Capitol, Toshiba, Dow Jones, Apple Computer, New Line Cinema and I-Werks Entertainment as well as for Company-owned or licensed properties.
I take it these are the companies supplying the revenues. What are they currently paying us for? |
