With 259 in the Democrat Congress 112 voted NO

With 176 in the Republican Congress 36 voted NO

That leaves 147 Democrats voting YES or failed to vote.

That leaves 140 Republicans voting YES or failed to vote.

On the surface it appears Kenneth is wrong.

I haven't been able to find a published breakdown of actual votes by Party as of this morning.

277 voted YES and 148 voted NO That means there are 425 votes of 435 members. There were 10 who did not vote, one being Pelosi.

This was reported by FOX and indicates Kenneth is wrong.

The bill was passed just before midnight Thursday in a remarkable show of bipartisanship in the House, despite objections from some Democrats, who wanted to impose a higher estate tax than the one Obama agreed to. The vote was 277-148, with each party contributing an almost identical number of votes in favor -- the Democrats 139 and the Republicans 138.

Add the Senate and the Democrat vote YES was greater in the Senate but also greater in the House.

A vote of 81 to 19 gave the Senate overwhelming approval and the Senate is majority Democrat.
