Yes, you are required to enter your password on a trade. After you have pressed the submit button on a trade, a page with the bid/ask, your trade information and your current position in that stock shows up. You must enter your password and press the submit button to proceed with the trade.

You usually get a message something like "Hey! You bought 1000 shares of QNTM at 35" or "Hey! You sold 1000 shares of QNTM at 27". Maybe Datek could add a stupidity indicator --> "Hey, lamer! You bough 5000 shares of LOCKC at 4 1/4. That was stupid."

You can also check the "Messages" button or the "Daily Activity" button for the same information.
