First pres I ever wanted was Ike in '52. Now I'm pushing his tax policy, adjusted for inflation, and I hold Nixon up as the model HC bill, so, 60 years later, I am still an Eisenhower Republican. What a long strange trip it's been. That's pretty weird. 60 years and still agreeing...how conservative can ya get? Afterthought... Ike was against the MIC B4 I even thought about it. Nixon also was the first to internally discuss global warming, and the first to recognize the need for oil independence. All I can say on my behalf is, that in California, even the conservatives are liberal. Raygun is too liberal for the teabaggers; they would run him out of office.
