We used copper for pennies for a long time. Then it got too expensive. Why not copper as a currency again. Copper is $4.15 a lb.

So a vending machine could sell copper again in specific denominations. 1/4 lb for $1.05?

Probably a crazy idea, but it depends on how bad economic turmoil gets.

Gordon Brown thinks Europe and the US are toast as they are doing exactly the wrong things econimically. I agree with him.
