AV,

If you still monitor this thread, perhaps you might care to comment on this
snippet of news reported by Carl Johnson techweb.com

Not everything we heard was bullish during our
travels. One of our goals during the AEA
Conference was to assess the status of DUV
lithography. Although DUV stepper shipments
appear to be growing nicely, many device
manufacturers have expressed that this transition
is much more difficult than originally anticipated.
One analyst told us DUV steppers purchased
by one semiconductor company were "printing
nice circles." Ultimately, these problems will be
resolved, but for now, we would caution
investors about the near-term prospects.

My question is: What is the likely problem with these DUV steppers and can they
be traced to a specific component which might find its way into the steppers
of several manufacturers?

TIA,
SC
