It mentions that they cooled the paddle, a macroscopic object, to its ground state. I wonder if it took on some Bose-Einstein Condensate properties...
...and I also wonder how close to zero they needed to cool it! Previous Bose-Einstein condensates were made of a few hundred atoms and required chilling to one microdegree or less.

...And I could have it all wrong, at that.
