Free speech may be free but it never is cheap. What I would like to know is if there is a way to keep freedom of speech while doing away with the explosion of rude noise that has accompanied it. I grow weary of standing in line at the McDungburger behind some kid who's talking on a cell phone and who uses the F-word at least once per sentence. It has replaced "um" or "like" as a filler sound. Argh.
