How expensive is it to cool a house? Based on average temperatures (which are a few degrees lower than Phoenix), you'll spend from 150-400 or 500/mo in peak summer mos to refrigerate 2700 sq feet. Call it 250-300/mo, lower with a high efficiency unit and/or solar water heating and/or solar electric system. Lower with a smaller house, of course......
