Actually, Steve, you are somewhat incorrect on item 1. The way
the G3 choices navigate, it seems like you can only add to a
preconfigured system. In fact, I suspect it is done this way to
make it "easier" to start a configuration for the novice, but you
can strip out to a basic configuration that is just the machine
with "minimum" RAM (32Mb), disk (4Gb), and no monitor. I think
they should change this, since it seems from posts here of AAPLs
detractors, that most are confused at this entry into the config-
urable G3 page, because it looks like the pre-configured pages for
older models, and don't realize that navigating the next step puts
them into the flexible configuration page. Rather, they should
make it clear that you can choose "minimum" or start a with a
preconfiguration from which you can modify. I agree it is not so
obvious.
