CORPORATE VISION MERGER TALKS PROGRESSING: Corporate Vision Inc. said Tuesday merger negotiations are continuing with a narrowed group of candidates. "We understand the intense interest of the shareholders, and I can assure you we are moving as quickly as possible to expedite a responsible and successful resolution to create strength and stability for the future of Corporate Vision," interim chief executive Jack Arnold stated in a news release.

He said some of the accomplishments so far include relief of various small liabilities; confirmation that virtually all the remaining debentures have been converted; expansion of the field of prospective merger candidates; and clarification of the status of the previous agreement with T.L. Phipps & Co. CVI now holds a 25 percent interest in T.L. Phipps and a 14 percent interest in Promar Inc.
