I also got assigned 1000 shares of my only option loser this year, SH.

Odd that getting assigned was $600 less painful than covering the option.
It turned an $1800 loser into a $1200 underwater current position, even after fees.

I was assigned on Tuesday last week, with the trade settling on Dec 17th. Didn't know they could do that but there you go.
Still very much a novice and learning all the time.

Is the S&P500 going to keep going up daily for ever???

Currently skiing at Panorama, BC, so unable to tally up the year but will be up around $70K in options trading for Jun-Dec 2010 in a $400K account. All cash until the above assignment. LOL
RIM, IOC, ATPG, STD puts and OPEN calls were my best options traders. Best trade was 40 DEC $48 RIM puts netting $25K.

Worst loser for the year was Etruscan Resources (EET.TO), a seven year long gold position which got bought out this summer for pennies on the dollar. Made good money on BP, APC and TGL common shares.

I feel richest in 2010 for the options trading knowledge that I have acquired. It is invaluable, ongoing and should be good for the accounts going forward.
