Morgan Stanley said Wednesday that: - cut fiscal second quarter estimate to $0.46 per share from $0.53 - cut third quarter estimate to $0.52 from $0.60 and - cut fourth quarter (May) estimate to $0.59 from $0.69. - cut one-year target price to $48 per share from $65. - cut 1998 estimate to $2.05 per share from $2.30. - cited weak fundamentals in modem business, - where wholesaler inventories are ''higher-than-optimal' - ''demand appears weaker than previously anticipated.'' - 15 percent of 3Com's revenues are to Asia - ''one-third of which could be in jeopardy.''
