You've asked good questions. Parents pass to offspring civilized behavior. It is part of the protection parents provide to their kids. Parents think that a civilized kid is better than a uncivilized one. Take a slum kid for instance. Mother abandoned by father. Kids raised in the street. No father role model. Role models -for this kid- are what he perceives as the strong and the powerful. Thus easy to become bandido. I -and the people here surrounding me here in this room in Angola- learned to think by themselves based on the formula: 50% dependent on what they inherit from their parents and 50% inherited from the environment.
