3Com (COMS) 35 1/8: Morgan Stanley lowers 12-month price target from $65 to $48 and lowers fiscal year 1998 earnings estimate from $2.30 a share to $2.05; also cuts 2Q net to $0.46 from $0.53, 3Q net to $0.52 from $0.60 and 4Q net to $0.59 from $0.69 a share... From $65 to $48 after the stock tanks. Morgan Stanley is sure demonstrating it's "leading the market knowledge." That is meant to be a joke. A doctor buries his mistakes. A stockbroker makes another commision. Before buying COMS wait for a sign the decline has stopped. Right now it is still in freefall.
