We just do not need as many folks as we have ... Bingo... In the states, we have succeeded in enhancing our productivity, on those things we haven't outsourced, to a point where we have a massive surplus of labor. The choices are pretty straight forward. Reduce the surplus labor by war, disease and starvation, or take care of your population by distributing the wealth. It is one or the other. The US will get to these options. The question is how violent the path will be. As stated earlier, Obama is merely trying to hold off Armageddon. Should have let the unemployment insurance run out. Let em eat cake......
