just a thought: IBM used to be the leader, Wal-Mart surpassed Sears and Kmart, At&t was declared monopoly and split up - now look at mci/worldcom. a new star will appear to successfully challenge Microsoft, but who knows when. my best guess would be a successfull challenge to Microsoft in the form of multi mergers of the top players in this industry. food for thought, bob
