health insurance is more a part of health care / health not care industry (ala prepayment) than an insurance biz (ala property) perhaps best to think of health insurance as just another tax at least would be more transparent otoh, govt is good at very little we use health insurance for large bills (baby delivery) and absorb the odds and ends need to try best to stay healthy
