One comment on the 3 (or four, if you include the body) parts, the heart in particular: Jesus said that the words we speak proceed out of the heart, "But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man" Matt 15:18
God gives us a new heart, when we are born again: "A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh [i.e.- a kinder, gentler heart in comparison to the previous one] And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgements, and do them." Ezekiel 36: 26-27
But we know that after we are born again, though we have a new heart and spirit, we still have the old one to put up with, until we leave this old body, which the old heart is connected with, behind. "I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin." Romans 7:25
That is why the struggle, the war within us, which is a small scale replica of the war outside of us.
Just thoughts.
On music - we don't hear as much around here as we used to, because my wife's hearing, which has been deteriorating since she was a little girl, has gotten very poor. She plays the piano, but not lately, because the tones don't sound right, even with the best hearing aids available. We are learning sign language, morse code and finger-spelling, to help cope with her problem. She is also starting a ministry to the deaf and hard-of-hearing. Spunky gal, she doesn't take the hearing impediment "sitting down".
