It's a complete joke. The "Global Warming" alarmists have been busted 9 ways to Sunday with false, fraudulent, misleading & thoroughly discredited claims.

If 2010 really was the "HOTTEST YEAR ON RECORD", we'd have been beaten over the head repeatedly about the relentless record heat waves over vast swaths of the planet. Were there some? Sure, but the key word is "some" just like there were some huge areas that were well below normal as noted in my original post.

When global temps rose steadily in the 1990's I remember how each year seemed hotter than the previous one. The higher than normal temps seemed relentless. I remember the countless stories of record heat affecting massive areas on the planet for extended periods. By 1998 it seemed like there was no end in sight for the escalating temps. I traveled extensively in the 1990's & it was the same story everywhere I went.

On the other hand, 2010 was nothing like any year during the 1990's. Not even close.
