I don't know about the veracity of the article, but my intentions was to merely point out the article to investors here on this thread,as i thought it might be of interest to them, since it pertains to the PC industry in general. Having said that, I don't think they just made the whole thing up for the heck of it at the expense of tarnishing their credibility. I do think it is of interest to note that the sub $1000 pc is evolving into a credible new market segment which eventually will widen the scope of the PC market as a whole. If this segment helps to increase the size of the 'pie' it will certainly benefit the whole industry, whether a company is directly involved in it or not. Eventually I believe the NET PC (which might sell for $500.00 or less)that SUNW and others are promoting (if successful) will also evolve into another segment.I have no idea who will or will not make money in these segments, but I say the more the merrier.
