After 8 full years in office bush had managed to pass Med drug bill, but he didn't pay for it, and wage two wars, one of which was unnecessary and the other he left in a tail spin....and he left office in the midst of the worst economic and financial crisis in nearly a century. The man was a failure...
It is interesting that your only defense of Obama is an attack on Bush.
After his failed economic "stimulus", the man has accomplished NOTHING. The health care legislation, if we're lucky, will be thrown out by the Supremes, but at the very best it is clear that it is nothing short of a disaster if it stands. It will add trillions to our debt, leave huge numbers of patients reliant on a malfunctioning government system for health care, and result in lousier coverage for all. There is nothing positive, at all, in the legislation, yet it is considered his key agenda accomplishment.
Since then, he has managed to extend the Bush tax cuts for two years which I'm sure you're proud of, and to allow gays who were already in the military to now speak it outloud. These are the marks of accomplishment in a REAL presidency? Hardly. Not to mention his having massively increased the national debt and unemployment rates.
WTF exactly has the man done? Nothing. Nothing on par with Bush's huge achievements.
I remain hopeful that Obama can get his shit together and do something. But it has become more and more apparent he just doesn't have the intellect or the skill that GWB possesses and the failure of the Obama presidency makes that fact clear. |
