G:
I use hibernation and set to go into hibernation after 2 hours idle time. It really puts the computer in sleep mode without power. The real advantage is that it saves the time a normal boot would take.

There are some negatives with hibernation as not all computers react well, and some USB devices have difficulty waking up. My modem usually takes an extra 10-20 seconds to wake up. Also, program like AV updates will not occur during hibernation.

Although I use hibernation I do reboot every few days as hibernation will not run the normal post boot sequence I feel necessary to clear out any potential bugs.
