It's interesting that Heinz seems to be so doubtful of the potential for global warming/climate change. I find it strange that he'd cite an anomalous event like snow in the summer as evidence. Broader measurements over longer time frames (calendar year '10, for example) look to show this might be the warmest year on record. ~ 15,000 dead in Russia do to an unprecedented heat wave.

Global warming means there is more H2O in the atmosphere. This absorbs more heat. This results in all kinds of outlying weather phenomena -- both hot and cold.

I have a great deal of respect for Heinz' observations, but his views here make me wonder if he has kids or young people to consider.
