So if I take a full image of my XP or Windows 7 C: drive. Then the drive fails, I install a new one, partition and format it, then restore the image I had of it, will it not work?

When I did that in 2001 I was using Windows 98SE and it worked perfect.

I now use XP and Windows 7.
