Taken out of context, you show that questions can have that construction, albeit with the "informal-speech" condition. My pincipal gripe however (and now context figures back in) was with the honesty and respectfulness of the question as you posed it. It was loaded. As to the original question as you carefully restated it (and I thank you for the trouble), I will answer with another question, hoping you won't ding me for protocol.
