I just spoke to Dennis Valentine. My original reason for calling was to find out whether the shift from MR to GMR would have any effect upon sales of the mirage, since according to JMAR's 11/5 statement, the PPL division was being given top priority. Dennis did not see the shift has having any effect.

Additionally I was requested to broach the following questions:

The cost of 1 mirage station?
The selling price (not cost) ranges between 50,000 and 80,000, depending upon add-ons.

How many disk heads can it trim/produce per day?
Don't know.

Life span of such a machine?
Don't know, but no problems since it was introduced in late '95.

Are there any replaceable parts that could add up to future business?
None to speak of.

Who are the competitors who make similair products?
I think he mentioned View Engineering, Ram, and one other. I'm not familiar with these companies and so may have misheard or misspelled.

How big do they see this market to be for 1998?
Millions
