12/31/10 Final Update
Another Biotech Charity Contest and another championship for RKRW’s portfolio!
At the Friday, 12/31/10 Contest close, RKRW’s winning portfolio was up an amazing 76.89% for the year. Terrific job RKRW!
Second place ROCKY’s portfolio performed spectacularly as well, ending 2010 up 60.92%. Rounding out the top three, GHMM’s portfolio was up a nothing-to-sneeze-at 52.81% for the year.
Our Contest winner, RKRW, has chosen the UTEC-United Teen Equality Center as his charity. The two links RKRW provided are:
For info: utec-lowell.org
To donate: utec-lowell.org
For those wishing to donate to the charity I’ve chosen (no obligation, of course), it’s the WriterCoach Connection and here’s the link: writercoachconnection.org
Despite the weak economy, the broad market also had an excellent 2010. The Nasdaq Composite Index ended up 16.91% for the year, while the Nasdaq Biotech Index was up 15.01%.
But both were outmatched by the Charity Contest median, which finished up 18.05% for 2010. And at year-end, 26 of the 32 Contest portfolios were in the black with 18 of the 32 beating the NBI. Congratulations Biotechies!
I’ll try to post more detailed Contest performance data in the next few days.
The link for the 2011 Biotech Charity Contest is:

Best wishes to all for a Happy, Healthy & Prosperous 2011!
