I disagree with you, Dave, on two counts. First, I think the press has more to do with the fact that the last large trade show of the year is coming up (COMDEX FALL, Las Vegas) next week. I think SYSF is mostly just previewing what they will be showcasing at COMDEX. Second, I think SYSF is focused on the OEM side of the market, whereas Cybermedia is focused more on the retail side. Cybermedia is NOT an end-to-end support product, as SysWiz is. If SysWiz ever get the OEM penetration we have all been waiting for, there won't be much need for a retail product, as far as new PCs go. I don't think a company like HP generally alines itself with losers, and Packard Bell, like it or not, sells more PCs than Dell. The current OEMs signed up for SysWiz represent nearly 10% of ALL PCs MADE. I don't see that as a bad start to a highly complex and relatively new product/market. IMHO, patience is the watchword of the day.
