You are right! I could not have the EDO and SDRAM work togeter on TXPro mothereboard.

I stopped to buy EDO RAM even since the announcement of MXi which will use 2 pcs of SRAM to combine into 128-bit memory access to boost system performance to another level. For this reason, I would suggest you to buy SDRAM instead of EDO.

MediaGX MMX for "Media Home" is great. The coming 128-bit MXi will be even better. With these two chips only, National-Semi could sell more x86 MPU than Intel by end of 1999. Due to the collapsing market on RAM, quite a fews of the not-yet-in-line 8" fab have no choice but switch their production line to logic IC. NSM will have more fab capacity to produce these two chips than Intel today.
