Actually, you are completely wrong, but you generally are completely wrong! Atheism is simply about not believing in a god. It is not about scoffing at mysteries or unknown science or reality. I have never met an atheist who would scoff at the unknown but in any event his/her scoffing would not depend in any way from atheism, per se.

Are you just discovering now that I believe that the survival of humanity (and certainly, any prospect of living in peaceful co-existence) is correlated with how quickly and how well we are able to shed the barbarian dress of superstition and embrace our heritage of walking erect, good thumbs, and large brains? My observation was that I had an "interchange that really involved two people having a private conversation on a public thread for a brief moment." I said that because it WAS on a public thread and it DID only involve TWO people. If it had involved personal details such as names or addresses I could have used a private message but the privacy here does not refer to that level of privacy (as any 5 year old would know). It refers to the simple fact that it was a discussion or dialogue between two people that had elements of a private sharing going back several posts and without the interest of others. You believed in your opportunistic way that it was an occasion to butt in and score cheap points. And I did not say that the nature of our conversation prevented you from butting in with a hostile attack. It is a public thread. I was only pointing out that you are a scum-bag. So here you are, and still nothing on your end of the score card other than an embarrassing ZERO! Sucks to be you!
