STOCKS TO WATCH – YEAR-END UPDATE.

83.8% Increase in 12 months from 6 stocks.

The original portfolio, begun back in July 2009, is up 34.5%.

Best performers were NFLX, up 228%, ENDP up 77% and DLB up 41%.

I haven’t been regularly updating the company’s fundamental ratios as I thought it would possibly be revealing if I gave it 2 or 3 Quarters to see how their fundamental performance was reflected in their stock prices (occasional bouts of lazy-itis also need to be taken into account !!).

In this regard we see that the three good performers, above, maintained good critical ratios.

GILD, I believe, has suffered somewhat from a fall off in Revenue increase. However, its basic fundamentals appear sound.

Very much the same can be said for SVA, regarding Revenue performance, with the additional dramatic decrease in its recent EBITDA margin and Pretax Return on Capital. Not surprisingly SVA is down nearly 22%.

SAY has been going nowhere fast, and based on its Annual numbers it’s not surprising to see its price down over 40%.

So I’ll be “parting company” with SVA and SAY.
