I'm watching ESPN and I've got to say the Favre coverage chokes me up. It was his journey but we (Packer fans and football fans) were along for the ride and it was fantastic. Where people rank him as a QB means nothing - to me, he was the greatest football player I ever saw. We all have our personal favorites - I think Favre will be the one I speak of when I tell my grandchildren about the "olden days." I watched and shared his entire career with my father and my son remembers most of the last 8-10 years. My only regret is that Nicholas never got the chance to see Favre on the big stage but you should have seen that boy gaze at Brett's locker when we went into the Packers locker room.

Some Packer fans hate him for going to the Vikings - I hope they know just how blessed we were to have him as The Leader of the Pack. It was an honor and another fantastic chapter in the storied history of the Green Bay Packers.

Favre was God...albeit just a football God.
