Wharfie, in science, people come up with ideas, often first led by observation to explain natural processes. They develop a theory and propose observations and experiments which would confirm or deny those theories.

So, for example, Albert Einstein said how his theory could be tested and it was and it passed the tests. As he explained, it doesn't take thousands of scientists to prove him right, it takes just one to prove him wrong.

Such ideas are strange and otherworldy for Mann Made Warming "scientists". In their realm, a computer model is proof of reality. They observe the output of their computer and if it matches their theory, they declare that to be proof that their theory is right, rather than evidence of the earlier theory about computers: Garbage In = Garbage Out.

Sometimes they made the mistake of giving actual predictions, such as sea levels would rise or snow would become an unknown experience for British children. As such predictions uniformly failed to come true, the theories were adjusted until now we have the absurdity of all weather proving Global Warming. Temperatures down? That's Global Warming. Temperatures up, that's Global Warming. A layer of warm air would be a signature of Global Warming. It didn't show up? Doesn't matter, the absence of the signature is also proof of Global Warming.

Mann Made Warming and East Anglian Manians are nothing to do with science. They are religion.

I'd be quite happy to have Global Warming theory proven. But it isn't. My requirement to change my belief to being a Global Warmist is simple - a theory of the mechanism and some actual evidence [not a computer model's output] that reality is matching the theory. What would it take for you to realize your belief is wrong?

As for other religionists, you can't change your beliefs because you have too much invested in them. I can change mine tomorrow morning, or this afternoon. That's because my belief is science based, your one is superstitiously based.
