My phraseology wasn't carefully chosen and researched <g> - I just associate sssssslithering with ssssssnakes. Yes, I know that Satan "possessed" whatever serpent it was that he used to speak to Eve. He was up in a tree, though, don't you think, when he did so? ("Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree" Gal 3:13b) The Bible seems to imply it. Don't hold anything against snakes, though I prefer the non-poisonous variety and won't tolerate any poisonous ones in the vicinity of our house. But no poisonous snakes have come near our house, just gopher snakes. The rattlesnakes haven't shown themselves on our property, to my knowledge. We've seen plenty of them on hikes, though. But I'm getting way off the path here. Satan seems to be easily "ticked" and at just about anything. He knows his time is short... John
