Happy New Year!

Today marks the beginning of the AMD Fusion era. Early indication from the CES is good. What makes me happy is that SONY and Lenovo have 11" E350 notebooks ready. That's what I have been waiting for since Intel created this netbook segment. Now, AMD, it's the time to show me the money.

Sandy Bridge is introduced as expected. Sandy will help maintain high margins for INTC this year.

NVDA is a surprise to the upside. The Tegra II is more promising than a few month ago.

This CES will mark the new begining of general computing in that x86 is no longer the only game in town. Smart phones and pads are the fasion of the week.

In 6~9 months, we will see how this landscape of computing plays out. I still hold the view that AAPL is the only pad winner in this game. Every other pad OEM will ge going no where. And I see the netbook/nettop segments being revived by Fusion and new generations of Atom.

Cheers.
