Technology Stocks : Novell (NOVL) dirt cheap, good buy?

That would be great for me, Steve. I bought NOVL at $21. Is NOVL supposed to sit around between 10-14 for six months (as VK's broker indicated) waiting for IBM to buy it?

Or, I can spend more money to buy more NOVL on pure speculation, hoping to make enough to pay for the loss I'll take when IBM buys it cheap. What a choice.

Here's a better idea: Let NOVL improve its product and marketing and attract investors on its own. Make IBM spend $10 billion to buy the company.

Anyway, legitimate takeover rumors tend to make a stock price move. NOVL has fallen even further since the Netscape/IBM rumors began appearing/reappearing. Isn't anyone going to bring up AT&T again?
