Sir Isaac Newton was an English physicist, mathematician, astronomer, natural philosopher and alchemist, regarded by many as the greatest figure in the history of science. He is probably most famous for describing the laws of universal gravity, after seeing an apple fall from a tree. He's not only famous for his three universal laws of motion that were not to be improved upon for more than two hundred years. He also predicted the end of the world in a 1704 letter that went on show in Jerusalem on Sunday. However, he "considered himself to be one of a select group of individuals who were specially chosen by God for the task of understanding Biblical scripture." en.wikipedia.org His religious opinions would likely prevent him from having a career in science today. Thats probably NOT a good thing.
